Had an awesome time at Tri-State. Saw so many of you in the halls, the sessions, at Camp Idol, at Campchella. These conferences are the best.
And also got to run a staff training session for about 400 camp pros. Everything was going great. Getting into different groups based on songs of the summer and a bunch of other shenanigans.
But then the projector broke. Whoops.
It happens. So what did we do? What camp staff always does: we pivoted into other fun stuff. That’s just camp. And it’s why camps are awesome.
What would have been on those last few slides? They’re linked here if anyone wants them:
And what they were also going to say is that the Staff Training Sprint Cohort is up and running.
Already have a ton of people signed up for four days to make a plan together.
The Staff Training Sprint Cohort
Four live sessions, four days in a row. Each session is 75 minutes. You get placed on a team on Day 1 and stay with them all week. Same people, every session.
The 4 sessions:
Session 1: Community. The activities that build culture from hour one.
Session 2: Sessions. Designing training around one clear takeaway.
Session 3: Delivery. Running meetings and presenting with confidence.
Session 4: Systems. The structures that keep everything from falling apart by Week 2 of summer.
When you’re done, you’ll have:
Your staff training plan for opening days, mapped out and ready to go. 2-3 session outlines you designed.
Meeting playbooks. 50+ no-prep activities and games. A community of camp leaders who know your camp.
Plus $600 in bonuses: Staff Training Recipe Book ($499 value) and Write From Camp Substack (2 months free, $50 value).
